Institutions integrate crypto technology into their product

Although we saw a tumultuous financial market during the month of January, we also saw strong signs of institutions, such as Microsoft, Apple, Nike and Walmart, adopting NFT and the metaverse concept across the board. The Twitter platform now also allows users to use their NFTs as their profile pictures, while Google entered into a partnership with BitPay and Coinbase which allows their users to hold crypto, such as Bitcoin, on their digital payment cards. The parent company of Facebook, Meta, also announced that they are planning a similar NFT display-feature similar to Twitter’s offering, but with the added ability to mint, trade and collect NFTs in the marketplace.
